The county range of gates are a frame ledged & braced gate made with traditional mortice tenon & wedge joints. A high quality glue is used throughout. 45% bevel tongue & groove boards are nailed to the frame and are recessed in a groove for added strengh. The T & G boards are manufactured with ample gap between boards to allow for movement. Both the Devon & Somerset gates are made using 95 x 57mm timbers and are all a standard size of 1823mm (6ft) in the centre.
